Glassfibre Reinforced Epoxy pipes (GRE)

Corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance

Daqing Harvest’s GRE pipes are widely used for one important reason – corrosion resistance. Epoxy resin has a unique molecular chain structure and having a matured cured system at a certain condition, it provides for a unique 3D, well bonded glassfibre reinforced structure. Thus it effectively restrains fissures and prevents medium causing deep corrosion through capillary phenomenon. These unique aromatic structures make the products have excellent heat resistance. The working temperature of the medium can reach 135"C.

High strength and light

The strength of glass reinforced epoxy system could reach medium carbon steel levels, while its density is only 1/4th of steel. Since the specific strength is high, and at the same time it brings in the convenience of ease of transportion and installation.

Energy - saving

Daqing Harvest’s GRE pipe are poor conductors of heat, and there is no loss of heat in transportation during winters and it effectively prevents increased viscosity of the medium and wax deposition. The internal surface of the pipe is smooth and friction factor is 0.016.

Electrical property

Glass Reinforced Epoxy pipes are not electrical conductors, but with special technology the product could be designed for conductive GRE pipes. It is needed for fire fighting devices and fuel transportation pipeline system.
